This was announced as part of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL)’s plan to care for trade unionists and workers on the occasion of Tet holiday.

The plan will prioritise trade union members and workers living in difficult situations, affected by COVID-19 and natural disasters, those who are unable to return home for Tet, and those who must work during the festival.

Under the direction of the VGCL, trade unions at all levels plan to organise Tet celebrations for trade unionists and workers, particularly those working at industrial parks and economic zones with a close watch on the development of COVID-19 pandemic in the localities.

Trade union organisations will also provide Tet gifts and financial support on bus, train, and airlines tickets to help disadvantaged workers travel home to spend the holiday with their families.
