Addressing the event, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh highlighted the historic significance of the August Revolution and the crucial contributions of the People’s Public Security and the diplomatic sector to Viet Nam’s revolutionary victories, national defence, and socio-economic development. Over the past eight decades, these forces have safeguarded independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, while mobilising external resources to support recovery, growth, and the country’s rising international standing.

He stressed that peace, stability, and security, both at home and abroad, are the fruits of sacrifice and dedication by many forces, particularly public security and diplomacy. These remain fundamental to Viet Nam’s achievements and its path towards prosperity in a new era.

Looking ahead, the Embassy will continue to uphold the tradition of revolutionary diplomacy, guided by Ho Chi Minh’s diplomatic thought, and contribute actively to implementing the goals set by the 13th National Party Congress.

Counsellor Do Manh Ha, Deputy Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Public Security in China, recalled the proud tradition and sacrifices of generations of public security officers. He reaffirmed their determination to uphold President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings and the motto “sacrifice for the country, serve the people.”

He also emphasised the force’s close cooperation with Viet Nam’s overseas missions in citizen protection, combating transnational crime, and ensuring security for high-level visits, serving as a reliable shield for Vietnamese nationals abroad.

The same day, the Embassy also organised a sports event with staff and representatives of Vietnamese agencies in Beijing, fostering solidarity and strengthening community ties.
