The classrooms have a total floor area of 324m2 and a total investment of nearly 5.88 billion VND (246,800 USD). Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan mobilised PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) to donate 5 billion VND (209,900 USD) and Antraco Joint Venture Company Limited to sponsor 7,100m3 of soil and sand, for the construction of the classrooms.
The remaining amount of 879 million VND (36,900 USD) was contributed by Tri Ton district.
The eight classrooms are fully equipped with desks, chairs, and led screens, to serve teaching and learning.
Secretary of Tri Ton District’s Party Committee cum Chairman of Tri Ton District’s People’s Committee Cao Quang Liem, expressed his delight as more classrooms have been built in a remote commune in Tri Ton district, which will contribute to promoting the educational cause for the younger generations.
On the occasion, the Vice President presented 20 gifts to pupils in need and a computer to the school. An Giang Provincial Party Committee also handed over 10 bicycles to pupils in need, while PVEP donated 20 gifts and the People’s Committee of Tri Ton District gave six gifts to disadvantages pupils, with outstanding academic results.
