On September 27, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and presented gifts to disadvantaged people, who are receiving care at the Dak Lak Provincial Social Protection Centre, during her working trip to the Central Highlands province.

According to the director of the centre Nguyen Xuan Quy, the centre was established and became operational on January 1, 2020.

With 134 staff members, the centre is now providing care, support, education and vocational training for nearly 500 orphans, people with disabilities and mental illness, and lonely elders.

Speaking at the event, Vice President Xuan highly appreciated the efforts of functional agencies and staff members of the provincial social protection centre, in caring for disadvantaged people throughout the province.

She expressed her delight to hear that the living condition and spiritual life of the vulnerabilities at the centre has been improved, making the centre a second home for the disadvantaged people in the locality.

She called on staff members of the centre to raise a higher sense of responsibility and consider the disadvantaged people, particularly children, as their relatives, in order to better care for them.

At the event, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented gifts to the centre and 21 disadvantaged students, who were raised there.
