Stretching from Le Thai To Street and Hang Khay Street, past Dinh Tien Hoang Street and ending at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, the “Happiness Road” journey opens a special emotional flow, where each step tells a story and each street corner reflects a lively slice of Vietnamese life today.
The event is designed like a symphony of 13 “happiness musical notes” connecting emotions, cultural experiences and community activities.
The exhibition “Happy Viet Nam” tells stories of daily life through light and emotion, in which each photograph is the simple but radiant heartbeat of the Vietnamese heart.
The digitalised interactive exhibition combining art and technology offers a multi-sensory experience, allowing viewers to “touch” stories of happiness.
The “companion units” area introduces organisations and enterprises joining hands to spread the message of a humane and prosperous Viet Nam.
The “Happy Broadcaster” recreates the loudspeaker sounds of Ha Noi’s wards, evoking nostalgia for viewers.
The activity “Shared happiness” supports residents in central provinces affected by natural disasters. Every contribution, material or spiritual, becomes a warm source of energy sent to the community.
The photobooth space preserves smiles and reunion moments for families and friends.
The “Tree of Happiness” features thousands of wishes and messages hung like “seeds of love”. The organising board will present 80,000 souvenir gifts to people and visitors.
The “Sending happiness to tomorrow” mailbox allows participants to share heartfelt thoughts, which the organising board will act as a bridge to deliver as messages of love.
The “Happy lens” workshop encourages people to create content by filming, photographing, drawing or making short clips on the theme of Happy Viet Nam. The works shared on social media spread positive stories and lively values within the community.
The outdoor activity “Health is happiness” offers new movement-based experiences, emphasising the message of health is the foundation of happiness.
The “Viet Nam Happiness Map” invites participants to mark their own “happiness points” and explore experience journeys across 34 provinces and cities.
The Vietnamese costume parade gathers around 800 people in traditional Vietnamese costumes through various historical periods, creating a brilliant floral stream in the Old Quarter of Ha Noi.
The special highlight of the festival is the mass wedding ceremony of 80 couples under the theme “Together Forever – Love is Happiness”, symbolising the 80-year journey of “Independence – Freedom – Happiness”. The wedding ceremony is not only for young couples but also honours silver, golden and diamond wedding couples who have spent decades together, proving their enduring love and deep understanding.
The organisers prepare gifts such as makeup, wedding attire and bouquets as blessings to the couples so their love stories may spread in the picture of a Happy Viet Nam.
Along with the experience activities, the awards ceremony for the Human Rights Media Awards “Happy Viet Nam 2025” takes place on the evening of December 6, honouring photographic and video works inspiring about happiness in Viet Nam. The event features the participation of many artists and spreads a spirit of positivity, sharing and compassion towards central provinces facing difficulties caused by natural disasters.
