General Secretary To Lam sent a congratulatory floral tribute to mark the occasion.

The ceremony was attended by Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) and Central Mass Organisations, and President of the VFF Central Committee; and Bui Thanh Son, Party Central Committee Member and Deputy Prime Minister; along with leaders and former leaders of the Party and the State of Vietnam; representatives of central ministries, sectors, agencies, provinces, and cities; leaders and former leaders of VUFO across different periods and its member organisations; and ambassadors and representatives of embassies, United Nations agencies, international organisations, and foreign non-governmental organisations in Viet Nam.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and state leadership, Bui Thi Minh Hoai congratulated and praised generations of leaders, officials, civil servants, employees and all those engaged in people-to-people diplomacy at VUFO for their proud achievements over the past 75 years.

Bui Thi Minh Hoai affirmed the important role played by bilateral and multilateral friendship organisations, the predecessors and now members of VUFO, together with people-to-people diplomacy forces nationwide, during the struggles for national independence and reunification, as well as in the post-war period of national renewal and international integration.

She requested that VUFO advise the Party, state, and Viet Nam Fatherland Front to bring about a deeper change in awareness of people-to-people diplomacy.

VUFO must also continue closely and harmoniously coordinating people-to-people diplomacy with Party and state diplomacy in advising the Party and state on formulating and effectively implementing guidelines, policies, strategies, and plans for external affairs and people-to-people diplomacy.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and state leadership, Bui Thi Minh Hoai presented the first-class Labour Order to VUFO, a noble recognition of the organisation’s particularly outstanding contributions to people-to-people diplomacy; mobilising international solidarity, support, and resources; and contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.

On the occasion, the VUFO Presidium presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals recognised as “Role Models in the Patriotic Emulation Movement of VUFO for the 2021–2025 period” and launched the patriotic emulation movement for the 2025–2030 period.
