Gmarket's analysis of airline ticket sales in 2023 in the RoK market showed that Vietnam is the destination with the most business class tickets booked, followed by Thailand and Japan.

Despite the long-term economic recession, more people from the RoK are inclined to enjoy "airplane+vacation amenities" as they are willing to spend heavily on comfortable aeroplane seats.

Analysis of air ticket sales also showed that the most chosen business class travel destinations are often nearby destinations, such as Vietnam (highest at 18%), Thailand (16%) and Japan (12%).

In the second half of 2023, the bookings of business class tickets reached 68%, double the level of 32% in the first half of the year.

Large domestic airlines such as Asiana Airlines and Korean Air accounted for 51% of total business tickets booked, proving that Korean people prioritise using domestic airlines.

Grasping the above demand, the RoK’s airlines have made marketing strategies to provide distinct benefits, promptly meeting customers' tastes.
