The Vietnam Social Security (VSS) and the RoK National Pension Service held an online meeting to discuss the draft administrative arrangement on July 14.

VSS Deputy General Director Dao Viet Anh expects that the two agencies will discuss and agree on the contents of the draft administrative agreement in July 2023, with comments and suggestions to be expressed in writing.

According to the RoK National Pension Service, workers of the two countries are waiting for the implementation of the agreement to ensure their rights when working in each country.

Representatives of the two agencies discussed the contents of the draft administrative arrangement in detail, including the certification of the subjects of social insurance, the certification of the time of payment of social insurance premiums, the settlement of claims for benefits, administrative assistance for employees, exchange of statistics, and others.

The bilateral agreement on social insurance between Vietnam and the RoK aims to avoid the double payment of social insurance for employees of the two countries as well as to recognise the payment period of workers of both countries.
