The project was implemented by the Yanka Kupala National Literary Museum in cooperation with the Finance Publishing House, to mark the 100th anniversary of Yanka Kupala being awarded the title of People’s Poet of Belarus.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador of Belarus to Viet Nam Vladimir Vladimirovich Borovikov emphasised that Yanka Kupala’s literary legacy has had a wide-reaching influence around the world, with many of the ideological values and artistic inspirations in his works resonating deeply with Vietnamese readers. He also highly appreciated the special significance of this publication.
 On the occasion, the Belarusian Ambassador presented 30 books to the National Library of Viet Nam.
 Yanka Kupala (real name Ivan Dominikovich Lutsevich, 1882–1945) was a poet, translator, journalist, and playwright; he was one of the most prominent representatives of modern Belarusian literature and a founder of the Belarusian literary language. His poetry collections “Zhaleika” and “Guslyar” brought his name to a wide audience, while his poetic play “Pavlinka” became a symbol of Belarusian theatre. In 1925, he was awarded the title of People’s Poet of Belarus.
