In the final round held in Singapore on December 13, the Vietnamese representative competed against two other finalists, namely Nikki of the Philippines and Hannah of Singapore, in the photoshoot and catwalk challenges.
Sharing her felling after her triumph, Quynh Anh wrote on her Facebook page that she was proud to become the winner of an Asian modelling completion.
“The biggest lesson I have learned in life that I want to share it with everyone is that, instead of comparing yourself with others, you should compare yourself to who you were yesterday to see if you’ve become better or not,” she wrote.
“This victory is for everyone, with faith and bravery, you can do everything,” she stated.
Born in 1999 in Hanoi, the 1.71m tall model was the first runner-up of The Face Vietnam modelling contest in 2018.
She has been in Singapore to film Supermodel Me since May.
Launched in 2009, Supermodel Me is a multi-platform reality series in which a number Asian aspiring models compete for a chance to launch their career in the fashion industry.
This year’s event was filmed from June, featuring 12 models from the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. It was hosted by Thai model Cindy Bishop and the judges included American photographer Yu Tsai, Singaporean model Hanli Hoefer, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
