Head coach Dinh The Nam decided to bring along 27 players, including the 23 players on the officially registered list and four players as a backup plan in case of COVID-19 infection.
Meeting with the team ahead of their departure, acting President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan hailed the regional tournament as a good opportunity for the players to accumulate experience and improve their capabilities.
He encouraged the players to compete with a strong fighting spirit and great confidence, as demonstrated by their U23 seniors against continental powerhouses in the recent AFC U23 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2022.
For his part, head coach Dinh The Nam said that the team has made the best possible preparations. In addition, the coaching staff have thoroughly analysed the opponents’ tactics, strengths and weakness, and have already designed proper plans for the upcoming journey.
