Vinacomin successfully issues VND 500 billion bonds

Nhan Dan - The country's largest mining firm, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries (Vinacomin) has successfully issued VND 500 billion (US$24 million) worth of bonds to the domestic market.

The bonds, with a five-year term and a floating interest rate, will help Vinacomin fund its coal, minerals, and power projects.

The Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) and the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) Vietnam are the issuance agents for Vinacomin. The bond issuance marked the restart of Vietnamese corporate bonds after a nearly two-year freeze.
