Winners of writing contest on protecting Party’s ideological foundation honoured

The To Hieu School of Politics coordinated with the Department of Communication and Education of the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee, holding an awards ceremony on August 23, for the essay writing contest on protecting the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)’s ideological foundation and refuting wrongful and hostile views.

After more than four months since its launch, the Organising Board received 1,631 entries from individuals and groups, belonging to four categories: magazines, newspapers, online newspapers, radio and television. Of which, online and print newspapers had the largest number of entries, accounting for 73% of all entries.

Some localities have a large number of participating works, such as An Lao, Hai An, Le Chan, and Ngo Quyen districts. Of which, there are elderly party members such as Nguyen Dinh Yen (100 years old), with 75 years of Party membership from Doan Xa 3 party cell, Dong Hai Ward, Hai An District. He won a C prize for his magazine article entitled “The Way of Life”.

At the ceremony, one special prize, three A prizes, five B prizes, five C prizes, five Consolation prizes, five Prospect prizes and three Excellent Team prizes were presented for outstanding works.

In addition, the Chairman of the Hai Phong Municipal People’s Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to authors and groups of authors who achieved excellent results in the contest.
