Addressing the event, the Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan highlighted the great contributions of President Ho to the Vietnamese Revolution as well as national liberation movements across the world.
He also reviewed the life and career of the President, particularly his journey to seek ways to save the country and his leadership to help the country gain freedom and liberation.
Nhan noted that Uncle Ho is always the backbone of the belief and motivation for Ho Chi Minh City to try its best to become a modern, prosperous and civilised city, contributing to the national development.
At the event, 147 collectives and 233 individuals were honoured for effectively studying and following Uncle Ho’s ideology and morality in the 2019-2020 period.
*The Vietnam Military History Museum launched a thematic exhibition entitled ‘Uncle Ho always in our hearts’ in Hanoi on May 15 to mark the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday.
Nearly 300 documents, images and objects are being displayed with the aim of honouring the great contributions of President Ho to Vietnam and the deep gratitude of the Vietnamese people to their beloved President.
The exhibition will run until the end of July this year.
*Another exhibition on Uncle Ho entitled ‘President Ho Chi Minh – a preeminent leader of the Vietnamese nation and a distinguished combatant of the world revolutionary movement’ was held at the ATK national special relic site in Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province on May 15.
With more than 200 images, documents and artifacts, the exhibition features the revolutionary activities of President Ho, particularly the time he spent at ATK DinhHo to lead the resistance against the French in 1947.
The exhibition will conclude on May 30.
