The hospital, which is invested with over VND650 billion (US$31.2 million), includes 28 departments and is one of the key constructions of Hau Giang province.
The construction of the hospital began in September 2007 on an area of 5 hectares.
It is expected to improve access to high-quality medical services and reduce costs, risks and travel time for local residents and people in neighbouring provinces including Kien Giang, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang.
