A festival featuring a wide range of cultural and tourism experiences reflecting the character of the thousand-year-old capital, title “Binh Ngo Spring Festival 2026”, will be held from February 7 to 14, (the 20th to 27th days of the twelfth lunar month) at the F1 racetrack area in Tu Liem Ward, Ha Noi.

The event is expected to become a lively and meaningful destination for residents of the capital and visitors during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

The Ha Noi People’s Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to take the lead, in coordination with the People’s Committees of Minh Chau, O Dien, Lien Minh and Kieu Phu Communes, along with relevant units, to organise the festival.

Covering an area of 20,000 square meters, and designed and carefully decorated, the festival space will vividly recreate the traditional Tet atmosphere of Ha Noi and other regions, blending commercial elements with culture and tourism experiences. It is intended to create a distinctive highlight, attracting both residents and visitors to the capital during Tet.

The programme features a variety of activities, including calligraphy performances and Tet couplet-writing by calligraphers past and present; hands-on experiences making banh chung, banh day and traditional candied treats; making to he figurines; and a range of folk games.

The festival will also showcase and promote traditional attire, Tet cuisine, and demonstrations of flower-carving, flower arranging, and the presentation of the five-fruit tray and Tet feasts in Ha Noi style.

Beyond entertainment, the festival will also offer a creative workshop space titled “Clever Hands to Welcome Tet”, giving visitors the chance to make their own distinctive decorations with a personal touch for the holiday — from colourful paper firecrackers and heartfelt greeting cards, to lucky li xi envelopes, Tet-themed paintings, and delicate ornaments for peach and apricot blossom trees.
