Fifty participants, including village officials, reputable community figures, and members of ethnic minority groups in Nhon Hoi Commune, attended the programme.
During the opening ceremony, Mr Danh Tha, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs of An Giang Province, emphasised the importance of legal dissemination and education among ethnic minority communities. He stated that the programme is a practical activity aimed at improving public awareness and compliance with the law, contributing to strengthening national solidarity, maintaining political security, and ensuring social order and safety in border areas.
During the training course, leaders of the Political Department of the An Giang Provincial Military Command presented topics related to national defence and security; local military and defence tasks; building an all-people national defence posture associated with the people's security posture; and enhancing the awareness and responsibility of ethnic minority communities in protecting national border sovereignty, preventing crime, and combating violations of the law.
In addition, participants were introduced to key provisions of the 2025 Law on Inspection, as well as the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies on ethnic affairs, and specific support policies for ethnic minority communities in the province.
Through the programme, participants gained updated legal knowledge and a deeper understanding of the Party’s policies and the State’s laws. This strengthens the role of reputable individuals and grassroots officials in educating and encouraging local people to comply with the law, actively participate in socio-economic development, build a cultural life, maintain security and order, and consolidate the all-people national defence and people's security posture in their localities.
The programme also contributes to the effective implementation of the 2026 National Target Programme for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority Areas across An Giang Province.
