Leaders of An Giang province on January 5 visited and congratulated the Central Executive Committee of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Sangha on the occasion of the 106th birth anniversary of the sect’s founder, Prophet Huynh Phu So (the 25th day of the 11th lunar month).

In 2025, An Giang Province recorded an economic growth rate of 8.39 per cent. The province has set the target of achieving more than 10.71 per cent growth in 2026, with a strong focus on developing strategic infrastructure.

A peak emulation campaign to combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing nationwide was launched in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang on August 12, aiming to promptly prevent fishing vessels and fishermen from encroaching foreign waters.
