The project marks the 115th anniversary of the inauguration of the Ha Noi Opera House – a structure deeply imprinted with history and recognised as a cultural symbol of the capital city.
Held just as the Ha Noi Opera House prepares to undergo a new restoration phase, the project serves as a heartfelt tribute. More than an art event, it represents an effort to bridge history, art, and technology, transforming the Opera House from a heritage site to admire into a living space for immersive experience.
The programme incorporates cutting-edge presentation technologies such as 3D mapping, holograms, augmented reality (AR), and multilayered storytelling, offering audiences an immersive experience where the boundary between spectator, and performance space dissolves.
The show consists of four chapters, corresponding to the 115-year journey of the Ha Noi Opera House, connecting the past, present, and future: Chapter 1: The Opening Night of 1911; Chapter 2: Ha Noi Within the Opera House; Chapter 3: 115 Years of Ha Noi’s Stage; Chapter 4: The Heart of Art
“115 Years of the Opera House Telling Stories — Heritage Illuminated through Light and Technology” is designed to bring art closer to the public. In each beam of light and every musical note, visitors can rediscover fragments of the capital’s memory.
The event also reaffirms Ha Noi’s position as a regional and global hub of culture and creativity. Here, heritage is retold through the language of technology — honouring the past while opening pathways to the future. The project pioneers a model of “digital storytelling for heritage,” proving that preservation is not merely about keeping things intact, but about reviving and spreading their value through digital creativity.
The project will run from November 22 to December 31 this year.
