Autotech and Accessories show opens in HCM city

Nhan Dan Online - The ninth Saigon International Autotech & Accessories Show 2013 for the automobile, motorcycle and related support industries opened today in Ho Chi Minh City.

Nearly 250 businesses from countries and territories across the region, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan (China), Thailand, China, India and Vietnam, are taking part in the exhibition.

The number of pavilions this year has increased by 40% compared to the previous year, and about 300 different types of products are being showcased, such as  spare parts; accessories; and assembly, testing and maintenance equipment; as well as car interiors; petroleum products; electric bicycles; and motorcycles.

In the automobile area, Japanese automaker Subaru is introducing its latest range of cars including the BRZ, Subaru XV 2.0i premium, Legacy 2.5GT sedan, Outback 2.5i SUV and Tribeca 3.6R.

A variety of high-end motorcycles, sport motorcycles and electric bikes such as Harley Davidson, Rebel and Ducati are also on display at the show.

The exhibition will also include automobile super shows by British driver Russ Swift and field trips to factories in Vietnam.

The event, which will run until June 2, is expected to attract around 100,000 visitors.
