Themed ‘Bac Kan Shines with Colours’, the programme aimed to celebrate the 125th founding anniversary of Bac Kan Province (April 11, 1900 - 2025).

This is the first time Bac Kan Province has hosted a street carnival to honour the culture of ethnic groups in the locality and promote the province's tourism potential.

In his opening speech, Nguyen Dang Binh, Chairman of the Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee, emphasised that the festival provided an opportunity to widely promote the province's tourism potential and advantages to visitors.

The success of the festival will help to boost tourism development while facilitating the preservation and promotion of the cultural values of local ethnic groups.

The festival brought together eight teams of amateur performers from eight districts and cities in the province. A total of 1,125 amateur performers marched through the streets from the cultural centre square to Song Cau Pedestrian Street.

Tens of thousands of tourists had the opportunity to admire the costumes of the local ethnic communities. They could also enjoy performances of intangible cultural heritages and unique folk songs and dances.
