The festival will feature a wide range of cultural, artistic, sporting, and tourism activities.
The opening ceremony will be held on the evening of July 17 at April 2 Square and will feature an artistic programme incorporating augmented reality technology, aerial fireworks displays, and performances by artists from Viet Nam and abroad.
A highlight of the festival will be the carnival and tourism float parade, scheduled to take place along Tran Phu Street on the afternoon of July 18, with approximately 2,000 participants expected.
The parade is expected to feature electric vehicles, double-decker sightseeing buses, vintage Vespa scooters, and 26 tourism-themed floats sponsored by the province’s leading tourism enterprises.
Beauty queens, models, artists, dance troupes, bands, lion dance performers, and domestic and international artistic groups will also participate.
In addition to the main events, the festival will host a series of side events, including an international conference on cruise tourism development in Khanh Hoa, the Khanh Hoa Bird’s Nest Cultural and Culinary Festival, the Khanh Hoa Sailing Regatta, the Vietnamese Ao Dai Festival, a trade and culinary fair, the Khanh Hoa Giant Kite Tourism Festival, and street art performances.
These will be complemented by tourism promotion programmes, business networking events for domestic and international enterprises, and a variety of sporting competitions.
According to Khanh Hoa Vice Chairman Nguyen Long Bien, the 2026 Sea Festival carries particular significance as it will be the first large-scale cultural and tourism event held since the merger of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan into the new Khanh Hoa Province.
