The event was co-organised by the An Giang Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and An Giang Radio and Television Station.
This year's festival featured the participation of 56 pairs of cows from Tri Ton, Thoai Son, Chau Phu and Chau Thanh districts, Tinh Bien town (An Giang) and Giang Thanh district, Kien Giang Province.
The Bay Nui Bull Racing Festival is an annual event held alternately in Tinh Bien town and Tri Ton district, to promote cultural identity, strengthen the great national unity bloc and create a joyful and exciting atmosphere among the Khmer ethnic people, on the occasion of the Sene Dolta Festival, a major event of the Khmer ethnic group to remember their ancestors.
