The Politburo’s Resolution 68 (dated May 4, 2025) on developing the private sector is likened to a fresh breeze, continuing to foster breakthroughs in sustainable private sector development and making an important contribution to the country in the era of the nation’s rise.

After 55 years of development, the national ceramics brand Minh Long has conveyed beautiful stories about Viet Nam’s culture, land, and people.

Ly Ngoc Minh, Chairman of Minh Long Co. Ltd., shared that a turning point in his and Minh Long's journey was inspired by a remark from the late General Secretary Do Muoi during a visit to the province: “As a province renowned for ceramics, why can’t you produce a tea set for guests and must instead use foreign-made products?”

This remark spurred Minh to reach beyond borders, seeking out the best knowledge and techniques from Asian countries such as Japan and China, as well as from Europe, particularly Germany — a world leader in ceramic technology.

“After more than 30 years of tireless effort, our dedication to learning bore fruit when we perfected single-firing technology at 1,380 degrees Celsius, in line with Germany’s highest standards, and integrated it with a fully automated machinery system. Minh Long’s ceramic products now not only boast exceptional quality but are also chosen as gifts in over 50 countries around the world,” said Minh.

The private sector in Binh Duong continues to thrive, with a rapid increase in both the number and quality of enterprises. The province currently boasts over 77,600 private businesses operating effectively, enriching the local and national economies, creating jobs for hundreds of thousands of workers, and engaging in numerous community-oriented activities.

In addition to Minh Long in the ceramics industry, Binh Duong is home to many dynamic and innovative enterprises, such as Thai Binh Investment Joint Stock Company (TBS), which operates across multiple sectors including leather footwear, handbags, commerce, real estate, ports, and logistics; Sang Ban Mai Joint Stock Company, which exports generators to new markets; Hung Thinh Company, developer of the Dong An Industrial Park; and Biwase, which specialises in water supply, drainage, and environmental services.

In the first four months of 2025, the private sector’s efforts have helped Binh Duong’s economy maintain its growth trajectory, with several economic indicators showing strong performance. The industrial production index increased by 7.86% year on year; total retail sales of goods and service revenue were estimated at 126.144 trillion VND, up 14.8%; export turnover was estimated at 11.7 billion USD, up 9%; and budget revenue reached 33.213 trillion VND, marking a 30% increase.

According to the Binh Duong People’s Committee, the concerted efforts of the Party organisation, the government, and the people of the province, along with vital contributions from the business community, have helped Binh Duong achieve remarkable accomplishments across various sectors.

Enterprises have proactively embraced innovation, applied advanced science and technology, enhanced competitiveness, expanded markets, and created high-quality products and services that meet the increasingly sophisticated demands of consumers.

The Politburo’s Resolution 68 on private economic development aims to remove institutional and policy bottlenecks and address challenges in accessing capital, land, and science and technology. These reforms will create favourable conditions for private enterprises to strengthen their production and business activities.

Tran Thanh Trong, Vice Chairman of the Binh Duong Business Federation, stated: “Resolution 68 is like a fresh breeze that ignites the legitimate aspirations of enterprises to create wealth. It reflects the Party and state’s strong commitment to the development of the private sector in the coming period. We are particularly impressed by the resolution’s detailed content. In addition to support from state agencies for business development, it also emphasises the ethics and cultural values of entrepreneurs and enterprises. Notably, it outlines the responsibilities of officials and civil servants in fulfilling their public duties to facilitate private economic development.”

Chairman of Binh Duong Province Vo Van Minh said: “The province highly values the achievements and great contributions of the business community over recent years. We hope the business community will continue to uphold its fine traditions, strive harder, overcome difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities, and pursue sustainable development, thereby contributing even more to the local socio-economic cause.”

He added that the provincial leadership always expects each enterprise and entrepreneur in Binh Duong to remain resilient, strengthen investment, and expand production and business activities. He called for a spirit of aspiration and determination to develop prestigious Vietnamese products and brands with regional and global standing; to promote creativity and social responsibility; and to actively engage in social welfare work, thus contributing to the improvement of people’s living standards.
