The spokesman said that the route is aimed at expanding Air Seoul's services throughout the Asia-Pacific region and the first flight will be launched on May 18 using an A321 aircraft with 195 seats.
The low-cost carrier is currently operating six A321 aircraft, including two 220-seat aircraft and four 195-seat aircraft, to carry out flights to Japan, Cambodia, Malaysia, Hong Kong (China) and Guam, a territory of the US. Air Seoul intends to add a seventh A321 aircraft to its fleet in the second half of this year.
Busy people-to-people exchange activities between Vietnam and the RoK, in combination with improved living standards, are creating an abundant source of passengers for airlines of both countries.
The Vietnamese community in the RoK has exceeded 160,000 and the RoK community in Vietnam stands at approximately 150,000.
The numbers are likely to increase in line with the developments in the bilateral relationship in various areas.
