The statement was made by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tuong Van during an online conference on promoting investment in the province, held in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, on November 9.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuong Van affirmed that Quang Ninh has a system of socio-economic infrastructure with modern and synchronous investment, especially in strategic transport infrastructure, strongly promoting regional linkages and international cooperation.
Administrative reform and the improvement of the business investment environment in the province have been of constant concern, significantly reducing the time spent handling administrative procedures compared with the provisions of law. The province also increased the rate of online public service delivery on the National Public Service Portal and the Provincial Public Service Portal.
In addition, Quang Ninh has high-quality human resources and skilled workers. In 2020, the rate of trained workers was estimated at 85%, much higher than the country's average rate of about 65%.
With 16 industrial parks, three border gate economic zones and two coastal economic zones, covering a total area of 377,670 ha, Quang Ninh Province is expected to continue attracting Taiwanese investors, particularly in the processing, manufacturing, electronics and semiconductor industries.
By actively organising investment promotion conferences, Quang Ninh Province wishes to have closer contact with the business community and investors from Taiwan (China) in order to share and introduce Quang Ninh's potentials, benefits, mechanisms, policies and investment environment, as well as the province's guidelines and orientations in calling Taiwanese investors to invest in the province.
