Each Viet Nam Coast Guard officer and soldier has translated this into practical actions: strictly maintaining a high level of combat readiness; focusing on improving training quality; stepping up patrols, inspections, and law enforcement in assigned sea areas; and continuing to tighten discipline, manage ideological work, and care for troops’ wellbeing.
Speaking with us, Colonel Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard, said that in recent days all agencies and units across the force have intensified vibrant emulation movements, determined to successfully fulfil all assigned tasks. Forces on combat-ready duty have been maintaining strict routines, remaining highly vigilant, and handling situations at sea in a prompt manner, ensuring no passivity or surprise. Alongside this, the determined to win emulation campaign, the building of regularity, discipline training, and Party and political work have all been carried out in a coordinated manner, closely aligned with the core political tasks of each agency and unit.
Alongside combat-ready duty and training, units across the force have also rolled out a range of practical activities: stepping up a high-intensity campaign to combat crime, drugs, and human trafficking; cracking down on smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the period before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of 2026; maintaining production activities to improve troop livelihoods; building a green, clean, and beautiful environment; and caring for military families.
Colonel Le Huy, Political Commissar of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, shared that as they look towards the 14th National Party Congress, officers and soldiers under the Coast Guard Region 2 Command continue to strictly maintain their watchkeeping and patrol regimes and remain highly combat-ready, ensuring security and safety in assigned waters.
“We place absolute confidence in the Party’s leadership, and we believe the 14th Congress will issue timely and appropriate decisions on safeguarding maritime and island sovereignty in the new context, contributing to building and firmly defending the Fatherland,” he said.
With absolute confidence in the Party’s leadership, Coast Guard officers and soldiers believe the 14th National Party Congress will be a great success and will set out major guidelines to further strengthen great national unity and advance national development in the new era. This will help open a new stage of development; contribute to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Army; and firmly safeguard the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
Sharing the same determination, Senior Captain Le Viet Anh, Captain of vessel CSB 8002 of Flotilla 21 under the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, said that CSB 8002 is currently on combat-ready duty in the Sinh Ton Dong area. The crew is looking towards the 14th Congress with the highest level of determination, responsibility and commitment in carrying out their missions at this particularly important moment. The ship maintains strict watchkeeping and high combat readiness, upholding discipline and order so as not to be taken by surprise in any situation.
This is not only a pledge and a political commitment by Coast Guard officers and soldiers towards the 14th National Party Congress, but also a political activity of special significance, helping to strengthen mettle and a sense of responsibility and pride among coast guard servicemen.
