The opening ceremony of the festival will take place at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Quy Nhon City) on the evening of July 11. Prior to the opening, a workshop will be held that morning on developing the exploitation, processing, and trade promotion of ocean tuna in Binh Dinh.
This is a strong product of Binh Dinh Province with an average annual exploitation output of nearly 14,000 tonnes, accounting for more than 60% of the country's ocean tuna output. Before the opening ceremony, there will be a tuna surgery and filleting programme to entertain and serve festival participants.
From July 11 to 15, Binh Dinh will introduce the culinary art of ocean tuna associated with a Food Fair and OCOP products and craft villages to enhance the brand value of typical product, with special attention paid to promoting marine products of Binh Dinh with high economic value.
In addition, the Binh Dinh Essence of Sea and Land Festival also features modern-style street art performances; Binh Dinh martial arts; and traditional art forms, among others.
