It is the first time that through the Internet, Vietnamese students will have a one-week back-to-back opportunity to directly speak with representatives from 26 universities and colleges from the UK and gain useful information about courses, study, fees, scholarships and life in Britain. Visitors are required to have a Yahoo account and access to the internet.
Visitors are advised to access the exhibition website, http://studyinuk.edu.vn, in advance to register the timeslot(s) that they prefer to communicate with institutions. The website will be launched on May 15 for registration and the exhibition will formally begin at 5pm 25 May and conclude on the evening of May 31.
In addition to the opportunity to discuss directly with institutions, visitors can also participate in helpful online discussions with visa officers about UK student visa procedures, with British Council teachers on English learning skills and IELTS examination tips and with UK alumni about study skills and scholarship and application preparation skills.
In regards to innovative exhibition, the Education UK Virtual Exhibition, Robin Rickard, the British Council Vietnam Country Director said “along with the annual on-site exhibitions, this is our first virtual exhibition which demonstrates our goodwill to diversify our forms of exhibition including using the Internet. One of the advantages of this form of exhibition is that it welcomes students from all geographical areas of Vietnam to take part in private discussion with institutions’ representatives through chatting activities.”
