The Office of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the municipal Department of Tourism agreed on a plan to welcome visitors on September 1 and 2.
Visits to the headquarters will continue to be maintained on the last Saturday and Sunday of each month.

The headquarters of the People’s Committee and People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City opened its doors to visitors for the first time on April 30 and May 1 this year, receiving nearly 1,500 domestic and foreign visitors.

Visitors can see some parts of the building, such as the main lobby on the ground floor, the international reception room on the ground floor, meeting room No.5 and the balcony. They will also be given information about the history, architectural highlights and function of the building.
The tour programme is among the activities of Ho Chi Minh City to boast the image of an open and friendly city.

The construction of the building was commenced at No.86 Le Thanh Ton Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, in 1889 and completed in 1909.
