In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation observed a minute of silence to show deep gratitude to the nation’s sons and daughters, who sacrificed themselves for the cause of national liberation and reunification.

The delegates then burned incense at the tombs, the resting place of nearly 14,500 heroes and martyrs.

Afterwards, the delegation visited the Ho Chi Minh City Cemetery to pay tribute to the late revolutionaries and city leaders with significant contributions to national construction and defence.

On the same day, the delegation also offered incense and flowers to the late Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Ton Duc Thang, as well as fallen heroes at the Ben Duoc Martyr Commemorative Temple.
