This year’s event is held under the theme ‘Pioneer Imprint’.
Our Party and State always attach great attention to caring for the people, and emphasise the importance of sustainable development in the development of the country, in which people are placed as the central role.
However, facts have shown that there are many rapid, complicated and unexpected developments in life, making it difficult for the State to always have enough available resources to take the best care of the people. For example, natural disasters, floods, epidemics, environmental disasters, and poverty are problems that cannot be resolved overnight.
Fortunately, over the past years, many individuals, businesses, and charity organisations have joined hands with the State, in implementing community activities, such as providing rescue, overcoming difficulties caused by natural disasters, and unexpected epidemics, improving the lives of people in remote and isolated areas, as well as providing education and healthcare services, and protecting the environment.
This year’s event is held under the theme ‘Pioneer Imprint’. |
Hundreds of thousands of individuals, organisations and businesses have consistently participated in community activities, demonstrating solidarity and mutual support for their fellow countrymen, through making investments and donations and contributing to the joint effort to take care of people's lives.
However, it can be seen that community activities are often deployed seasonally and irregularly, rather than in a long-term vision.
Most of them are implemented spontaneously without coordination with each other. Despite considerable efforts having been made by individuals and organisations, the effectiveness of their community projects is still limited because they have not yet been spread to a wider audience.
Therefore, the Human Act Prize was launched to honour organisations, individuals and businesses, with effective and transparent community projects, as well as those targeting realistic and sustainable goals.
In the digital age, it is extremely necessary to take advantage of communication tools and platforms, to fully spread and promote community activities.
These activities will contribute to inspiring and connecting similar organisations, individuals and projects, to increase efficiency, thus increasing sustainability and commitment to community projects, bringing benefits and sustainable development to the community.
One of the highlighted criteria of the Human Act Prize is creativity. It can be said that a lot of community activities today are held in an old-fashioned way and lack research and thorough surveys, thus missing initiatives and practical solutions, leading to their limited effectiveness.
Given the situation, the Human Act Prize aims to build an ecosystem of many creative activities, such as a library of community initiatives, a documentary on community activities in Vietnam, and an exhibition themed ‘Action for the community’. This ecosystem will connect community activists, helping them share experiences to work out more effective community activities.
It is hoped that the Human Act Prize will receive the full participation of organisations, businesses and individuals, and contribute to mobilising more social resources for the national sustainable development.
