The annual national award aims to honour and promote projects for the community, as well as recognise worthy organisations, businesses and individuals, who are making efforts to contribute to society.
The award is organised by Nhan Dan Newspaper, with the participation of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the coordination of VCCorp Corporation.
Speaking at the press conference, a Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh said, the world is experiencing synergistic effects of unprecedented magnitude and scale of epidemics, climate change and the depletion of natural resources, and a global slowdown in economic growth.
The difficulties and challenges also let us see more clearly the importance of protecting the living environment, harmoniously solving the urgent need for economic recovery, with the requirements of green and sustainable development to guide to a better future, he noted.
Le Quoc Minh, who is also Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information and Education and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association affirmed, that the Party and State always emphasise the importance of sustainable development in the development of the country and pay special attention to putting people as the centre of sustainable development.

To successfully achieve those goals, it is necessary to mobilise all social resources and strengthen the coordination among ministries, branches, localities, agencies, mass organisations, enterprises and each individual, he added.
With the theme “Pioneer Imprint”, Human Act Prize 2023 will honour organisations, businesses and individuals, who do not hesitate to dedicate themselves to the community and promote humane values and confidence in sustainable development.
According to the organisers, the Prize is open for organisations, agencies and mass organisations from central to local levels, that are interested in community activities and have creative ideas for activities for the community; and groups, corporations, State-owned enterprises; private enterprises; limited liability companies; joint stock companies, among others.
In addition, domestic and foreign organisations with representative offices operating in Vietnam, that are interested in and have creative ideas for community activities, can also compete for the Prize.
