Vietnam has become a major producer and exporter of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, with many of the world's leading export products.

Producing agricultural products to meet domestic demand well, ensures national food security. The export of agricultural, forestry and fishery products is constantly growing and reached a revenue of more than 53 billion USD in 2022.

However, the scale of agricultural production in Vietnam is still small, the chain linkage is limited, post-harvest losses are still high, the processing industry is not modern, leading to business efficiency and the ability to compete for agricultural products is not high.

According to the delegates, to remove these difficulties, it is necessary to bring logistics to become a lever for agricultural products, and enterprises need to have regional logistics centres.

Logistics in agriculture should be focused on investment and development of warehouse and yard infrastructure; refrigerated transportation, packaging, irradiation, and inspection services in key agricultural areas.
