This is the final stop in the “Jinju Silk Lamp” exhibition tour across Southeast Asia, part of the cultural exchange project “Touring K-Arts” organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The project aims to introduce the beauty of art and culture of the RoK to the world, jointly carried out by overseas Korean Cultural Centres and the city of Jinju, with support from the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE).

Nearly 1,300 vibrant Jinju silk lamps illuminate the exhibition space, featuring sections such as the “Jinju Silk Lamp Tunnel of Light”, the “Jinju Silk Lamp Wall of Light”, various photo zones with Jinju silk lamps, and an area promoting the city of Jinju.

During the exhibition period, the Korean Cultural Centre in Viet Nam is also organising a range of interactive activities for visitors, including traditional Korean lantern-making and a ‘wish tree’ experience.

Choi Seung Jin, Director of the Korean Cultural Centre in Viet Nam, shared: “The exhibition ‘Korean Light: Jinju Silk Lamps’ received great attention from the public in the Philippines (May 2025) and Indonesia (August 2025), so I am very proud that it is now being held in Viet Nam. Through this exhibition, I hope visitors will feel the vibrant beauty and colours of Korea through the Jinju silk lamps, and recognise that the Korean Cultural Centre is a special space for cultural exchange – where Vietnamese and Korean cultures meet through the language of light.”

On this occasion, starting November 8, the Korean Cultural Centre in Viet Nam will host a free weekly “Hanbok Day” programme (from 9 am to 5 pm). This offers visitors the chance to experience the charm of RoK’s traditional attire alongside the Jinju silk lamps, and to enjoy memorable moments with family and friends in a space rich in Korean culture.
