The festival featured a special art programme and a high- and low-altitude fireworks display, which attracted thousands of local residents.
Speaking at the festival, Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee, stressed that the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival is held annually and has become an important cultural and tourism event of the province during the traditional Lunar New Year.
The festival has increasingly affirmed its role as a distinctive, prominent and unique highlight in the province’s chain of cultural and tourism activities, while also becoming an attractive tourism product that draws thousands of domestic and international visitors to visit, admire, experience and enjoy each Lunar New Year and Spring.
In implementing Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026, of the Party Central Committee on the developmen of Vietnamese culture, Lang Son Province has introduced a range of effective solutions. These focus on organising cultural and tourism activities rich in identity and deep spiritual meaning, closely linked with ensuring national defence and security, promoting sustainable socio-economic development, and building a Lang Son culture imbued with national identity.
Peach blossoms have long been a distinctive symbol of spring in Lang Son, representing resilience, vitality and the aspiration to rise of the people and the land at the country’s northern frontier. The Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival is a hallmark cultural and tourism event, contributing to the revival and celebration of traditional cultural values and the identities of the ethnic groups in Lang Son Province, while also promoting the image of Lang Son as a friendly and hospitable locality.
The Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival 2026 takes place from January 1, 2026, to March 16, 2026, featuring a wide range of rich and diverse activities, including cultural, artistic and sports exchanges, visits to the Spring Peach Blossom Road of Lang Son and peach blossom exhibition spaces, along with various tourism and trade promotion activities.
Through the festival’s activities, Lang Son Province hopes to strengthen connectivity, expand exchanges and cooperation, promote the development of trade, tourism and services, and contribute to socio-economic development while improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
