On January 16, as Lunar New Year 2022 draws near, Secretary of the Party Central Committee cum Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai led a working delegation to visit, extending their warm Lunar New Year wishes to the officials and people of Bac Lieu Province, and giving gifts to policy families and poor households in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai said that, despite facing many difficulties and challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our country has achieved many important achievements in the past year under the leadership of the Party, the Government's flexible, drastic and effective management, and the great efforts of the ministries, central branches and localities.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Bac Lieu has also achieved commendable achievements. Most of the targets have been met, especially with the province's economic growth being the highest in the Mekong Delta.
Deputy PM Le Minh Khai suggested that the leaders of Bac Lieu Province should pay close attention to the epidemic prevention and control in a flexible, safe and effective manner. The province should strengthen the 3rd dose vaccination process for the people and also vaccinate students so that they can go to school directly.
Meanwhile, the Party committees and authorities in the province also need to further strengthen the propaganda to the people about epidemic prevention and control measures.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai presented 40 Tet gifts to policy families, poor households, trade union members and workers in difficult circumstances affected by the COVID-19 epidemic in Bac Lieu city.
That afternoon, Deputy PM Le Minh Khai and the delegation visited and presented 40 Tet gifts to poor households that have been affected by COVID-19 in Phuoc Long District, Bac Lieu Province.
*On January 15, Nhan Dan Television coordinated with Lang Son Province, Bac Son District and the provincial Red Cross to organise a programme to bring an early Tet to policy beneficiary families, the poor, and Agent Orange victims in Bac Son District, Lang Son Province.
* On January 16 and 17, the volunteer project "Warm Spring 2022" organised by students gave meaningful Tet gifts to difficult circumstances in the Tan Yen District, Bac Giang Province.
* On January 16, in Vinh Yen city, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Vinh Phuc Province presented 1,000 Tet gifts to disadvantaged workers, at a total value of 500 million VND, and gave 7,345 train tickets with a total value of more than 1.2 billion VND for workers outside the province.
