This marks the first time the museum has opened its doors for night-time visits, promising a distinctive experience where painting, sculpture, and music harmoniously converge within the rhythm of contemporary art.

The “Museum Night” programme will be piloted from October 2025 to March 2026, taking place on the last Friday of each month. Each event will feature a different theme and activity programme, designed to offer fresh experiences in tune with the changing seasons and the vibrant pulse of the capital city.

Upcoming themes include “Charming Autumn” in October, “Winter Tales of the Old Quarter” in November, and “December Memories” in December.

Event dates may vary depending on actual conditions and will be announced on the museum’s official Fanpage, website, and other media channels.

Nguyen Anh Minh, Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, shared that exploring art at night offers a completely different perspective. Visitors will not only have the chance to admire exceptional works of art, but also to listen to the stories behind them and immerse themselves in a classical music atmosphere.

I believe ‘Museum Night’ will bring visitors a serene and memorable experience amid the vibrant and bustling rhythm of modern life.

At “Museum Night”, visitors are free to explore the museum under the glow of night lights, admire valuable collections and artefacts, and use the iMuseum VFA audio guide application for an enhanced experience.

“Museum Night” attracted great public attention on its debut evening.

Guests can also watch artists sketch live, join sketching sessions within the museum grounds, and take part in craft activities such as decorating dó paper lanterns or printing woodblock artworks.

In particular, visitors will have the opportunity to meet with experts and researchers to learn about the nine National Treasures and other valuable artefacts and signature works of Vietnamese fine art.

Additionally, the programme includes art performances, guest artist interactions, and special ensemble recitals, adding to the event’s lively and engaging atmosphere.

Positioned as a new night-time tourism product with great potential, “Museum Night” is expected to make meaningful contributions to public education and the promotion of cultural values, while supporting the development of Vietnam’s growing creative cultural industries.

Developed through a flexible public–private partnership model, with the organisational collaboration of the community brand “Stories of Ha Noi” and the cultural project group “Ha Noi FM”, “Museum Night” promises to become an exciting and enriching experience for both residents and visitors to the capital.
