The Vietnamese men’s national football team added another historic milestone to its record by being crowned ASEAN Cup 2026 champions following a dramatic second-leg final at the National Stadium in My Dinh on the evening of August 26. A resilient performance saw Viet Nam hold Thailand to a 2-2 draw, enabling head coach Kim Sang-sik and his players to successfully defend their title with a 4-2 aggregate victory over the two-legged final.
