New military recruits receive support

The Hanoi Municipal Youth Union in coordination with the Hanoi Capital High Command held a meeting in Hanoi on February 12 for outstanding new military recruits.

The event was attended by Member of the Party Central Committee and First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan.

According to statistics, in 2022, Hanoi City has 4,370 new recruits enlisted in the army. Of which, there are 3,500 citizens enlisted in the army, while 870 citizens perform the people's police service.

At the meeting, the Hanoi Youth Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 discharged soldiers to honour their outstanding achievements in the process of performing military service during the 2020-2022 period.

On the occasion, five savings books worth 10 million VND each were presented to recruits living in difficult circumstances.

The Organising Committee also awarded 50 certificates and 50 gifts to outstanding new military recruits in 2022.
