The programme, broadcast live on Nhan Dan TV, was held in response to the “For the poor” call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee
At the programme, the “Quy Hat going Viet” (Vietnamese Seed Fund) established by Nhan Dan Newspaper, presented gifts to disadvantaged people, as well as reviewing the contributions of collectives and individuals to the fund, over the past year.
Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh said that “good leaves protect torn leaves.” This is a great tradition of Vietnamese people throughout the thousand years of national construction, contributing to the cohesion of the social community for mutual development.

He noted that the Vietnamese Seed Fund, under the sponsorship of several authorised agencies, enterprises and benefactors, aims to share difficulties with pandemic and disaster-hit people, including children in need.
On the occasion, Le Quoc Minh, who is also Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, as well as Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, thanked the generous hearts who have join hands with Nhan Dan Newspaper, helping people in need to enjoy a warm Tet.
At the live programme, special gifts were presented to outstanding students with excellent academic results over the past year. Tet gifts were also handed out to people in need and victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.
The Vietnamese Seed Fund presented 50 houses of compassion for people affected by natural disasters, in addition to granting 20 scholarships to disadvantaged students in 2021.

*On the same day, Nhan Dan reporters in Lao Cai province and local authorities, presented ten Tet gifts worth 1.5 million VND each to policy beneficiaries, people in need and victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, in Bac Cuong ward, Lao Cai city.
