As a main activity in the series of events "Vietnam craft village festival 2022" hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the OCOP Vietnam Craft Village and Products Fair is an annual event of the agriculture and rural development industry.

This year's fair has been organised to promote and praise traditional craft villages; honour the skilled artisans and craftsmen and their typical products; introduce unique models of craft villages and craft streets across the country; and to introduce and promote the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Programme and connect the consumption of OCOP products and some local specialities with traditional and modern consumption channels.

At the same time, the event aims to attract investment, encourage the development of potentials of culture, tourism and rural industries, restore and develop professions, and promote national identity, strengthen value chain from production to consumption, and develop sustainable and environmentally friendly products.

Nguyen Minh Tien, Director of the Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture, said that the fair displayed many agricultural, forestry and fishery products, food, regional specialities, fruits, and handicrafts from traditional craft villages and streets throughout the country.

The award ceremony of the Vietnam Handicraft Products Contest 2022 was held at the opening ceremony of the fair.
