Online fair offers job opportunities for people with disabilities

The programme attracted many businesses to recruit positions and employment for people with disabilities.

The job fair for people with disabilities on the online platform aims to connect employers and people with disabilities and expand job opportunities for people with mobility disabilities through the Metaverse online platform. Participants with disabilities have the opportunity to access job positions from many businesses and employers in different fields.

At the fair, the organising board provides a separate space for each business to directly participate in interviewing and recruiting potential employees, suitable to the job position and recruitment requirements of the company. At the same time, there is an open exhibition space for businesses to promote their images and products through videos, images and logos.

Dinh Thi Van Anh, Team Leader of the programme, shared: “The implementation of a job fair program, which is dedicated and completely free for people with disabilities through the online platform, is a fairly new and ground-breaking step, so we also encountered many difficulties.

However, we hope to be able to expand job searches and social integration opportunities for people with disabilities in Vietnam. This is also an opportunity for people with disabilities to share and learn more about jobs and job interviews, which are very valuable as far as knowledge and experiences for them.”

World Friends Korea Overseas Volunteer programme, sponsored by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and implemented by Global Civic Sharing, will last from January to July 2022. The program has the participation of 130 young people from Korea and four countries in the Mekong sub-region including Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. Members of each country will have their topics to implement, in which, Vietnamese teams will deploy the topic of people with disabilities. After a period of skills training, volunteers are embarking on implementing each project, aiming for practical solutions for people with disabilities to have the opportunity to integrate into the community.
