The delegation included companies across various sectors such as IT, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing, agriculture, environment, furniture, and tourism.
At the summit, Vietnamese firms had the chance to connect with US economic development agencies and state representatives to explore new investment opportunities and commit to creating jobs in the US.
On May 12 (local time), Deputy Minister Cao Anh Tuan attended two plenary sessions. Speaking on the sidelines, he emphasised Viet Nam’s strong commitment to boosting bilateral investment and trade with the US, especially in technology, digital transformation, energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
In between sessions, the summit organisers held a "Meet & Greet" for Vietnamese enterprises, chaired by Ashok Pinto, Executive Director of the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2025. Pinto, on behalf of President Donald Trump and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, welcomed Vietnamese investment, highlighting the US as an open and supportive destination for foreign businesses.
Also on May 12, the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance, US Department of Commerce, and the Vietnamese and US embassies co-hosted a side event titled “Connect with Viet Nam: Cooperation – Sharing – Development” in Washington, D.C.
Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dung noted that Vietnamese businesses are increasingly looking to invest in the US, reflecting the strength of the two countries’ strategic partnership.
Diane Farrell from the US Department of Commerce reaffirmed the commitment of the US to supporting Vietnamese investors, particularly in high-potential sectors that generate jobs and growth.
Deputy Minister Cao Anh Tuan called the current period a “golden opportunity” for Vietnamese firms to expand into the US, unlocking access to global markets and capital.
Viet Nam’s participation in the summit demonstrates its strong commitment to two-way investment cooperation. It not only seeks US investment but also encourages Vietnamese enterprises to expand in a key, stable market.
According to the Foreign Investment Agency, as of April 30, 2025, Viet Nam had 252 investment projects in the US worth 1.36 billion USD, mainly in science and technology, real estate, and manufacturing. Major investors include PVEP, T&T Group, Tam Anh Hospital, An Phat Holdings, FPT, and Vietcombank.
