Outstanding collectives and individuals honoured for following President Ho Chi Minh’s example

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour held a conference in Hanoi on May 14 to honour 133 collectives and individuals from among the civil servants, public employees, and workers nationwide who stood out in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style.

Delegates at the conference also reviews the VGCL’s implementation of Politburo’s Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021, on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW on promoting the ‘Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style’ campaign.

Speaking at the event, VGCL President Nguyen Dinh Khang reported that over the past two years, trade unions at all level across the country have organised more than 26,000 communication events on popularising the ‘Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style’ campaign, attracting more than 3 million trade union members, public servants, and workers.

These communication events have contributed to turning words into actions among civil servants, public employees, and workers nationwide, encouraging them to follow Uncle Ho’s examples.

While congratulating the honourees, Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission on Communication and Education, stressed that studying and following Uncle Ho’s teaching is a regular and very important task for the entire Party, people, and army, including civil servants, public employees, and labourers.

He expressed his hope that the honouring individuals and collective will make further effort and make themselves examples for others in implementing the ‘Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style’ campaign.
