Two second prizes were won by Dinh Tat Canh and Pham Quoc Thang for their photos capturing nature at Bau Ca Cai mangrove forest in Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province; and Tuyen Lam lake in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province, respectively.
Three third and five consolation prizes were also presented to other excellent entries at the ceremony.
The photo contest was launched in May this year by the Vietnam Environment Administration to raise public awareness of biodiversity conservation and encourage creativity amongst entrants to produce more in-depth images of nature conservation and biodiversity.
The event attracted more than 2,000 entries from 120 contestants, whose works praise the Vietnam’s biodiversity and reminded viewers’ of their responsibilities in terms of biodiversity preservation.
