The plan was issued to concretise the growth objectives of the agriculture and environment sector set out in Decision No. 681/QD-BNNMT (dated April 8, 2025) as well as to implement the prime minister’s directive in Official Telegram No. 79/CD-TTg (dated May 31, 2025) on proactively deploying measures to ensure the production, processing, consumption and export of agricultural products.
Accordingly, the important objective of the plan is to strive for a total export turnover of 65 billion USD in agro-forestry-fishery products in 2025.
The ministry requires its affiliated units and the departments of agriculture and environment in provinces and cities to coordinate and synchronously implement solutions, with a focus on improving product quality, meeting market requirements, expanding export markets, and promoting deep processing.
The decision takes effect from the date of signing. Units under the ministry, local departments and sectors, and agricultural industry associations are responsible for implementing the plan.
