Speaking at the event, Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, emphasised the awards’ goal of celebrating the creativity and dedication of photojournalists who capture diverse perspectives on life across the country.

Le Quoc Minh, who is also a member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Deputy Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education, noted that over six years, the awards have become a prestigious platform for photojournalists, reflecting the profession’s evolving quality and influence.

This year’s competition received nearly 400 submissions, including thousands of individual photos and photo series, almost double last year’s entries. The works showcased diverse themes, covering key national events and highlighting the resilience and creativity of journalists working in challenging conditions.

The awards were divided into three categories: News, Social Life, and Sports, encompassing all aspects of life and current events. Top honours included Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards for each category, as well as a Special Award for the most outstanding work.

Le Quoc Minh encouraged photojournalists to continue innovating and sharing positive stories through their lenses, fostering public trust in the Party’s leadership and the nation’s bright future.
