Speaking at the opening ceremony, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee Y Ngoc emphasised that Quang Ngai takes pride in its distinctive advantages, with rich tourism resources and pristine beaches such as My Khe, Sa Huynh and Chau Tan, as well as Ly Son, a “precious gem” and a vivid museum of Viet Nam’s unique volcanic geology and culture.
Quang Ngai’s sea is not only rich in natural landscape potential, but also deeply imbued with the history, culture and identity of coastal communities, creating a distinctive character for local tourism.
According to Y Ngoc, the Quang Ngai Sea and Island Tourism Festival 2026 features a wide range of diverse and attractive activities and events imbued with the cultural identity of Quang Ngai. The festival harmoniously combines art programmes, cultural, sports and tourism activities, and sea and island festival experiences held across localities in the province.
These activities aim to support a sustainable tourism development strategy that takes cultural values as its foundation and nature as its pillar, creating distinctive and unique experiences for visitors, she stressed
A key highlight was the emotional art programme themed “Quang Ngai - A Symphony of Sea and Islands”, which combined the artistic languages of music and light.
The festival attracted thousands of visitors and local residents.
