This is one of the important events and highlights in the series of activities of Sa Pa Five Seasons Festival 2022.
Sa Pa Autumn Festival 2022 will be held from August 26 to September 11 with many rich and attractive activities spread across tourist attractions in Sa Pa Town, such as: the opening ceremony, an experiential travel programme, a programme to discover and experience the scenic relics of terraced fields and Muong Hoa Valley, Sa Pa International Mountain Marathon - VMM 2022 with the participation of more than 5,000 athletes in 7 distances, and a Full Moon Festival.
At the opening ceremony, leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports of Lao Cai Province awarded the authorities and people of Sa Pa town with a certificate recognising Cat Cat Waterfall as a provincial-level scenic relic. This is the 8th provincial relic and scenic spot to be recognised in Sa Pa Town.
An art programme with the participation of nearly 200 actors, 20 special art performances of Sa Pa’s indigenous ethnic minorities was organised.
Chairman of the Sa Pa Town People's Committee Vuong Trinh Quoc said that the town is trying to create new tourism products to attract tourists to Sapa after the COVID-19 pandemic, striving to achieve the goal of attracting 2.5 million visitors in 2022.
